A'broad Audio Universal Headphones

At first glance of the product I thought, why wouldn't this be advertised to everybody? Crazy thing is, the first time I've ever seen this product was on a site called seniorsuperstores, marketed directly towards senior citizens. The product is the UltraClear Wireless TV Listening System.

What this item does is basically amplify sound from a television or theatre visit, and block out noise.

I figure, since so many people (I know, at least) own a pair of headphones, and the monies they pay for top of the line headsets such as Beats Studio by Dr. Dre ($350!?), there has to be some type of audience for "A'broad Audio: Universal Headphones"

Design Brief

A'broad Audio Universal Headphones

A'broad AUdio Universal Headphones are a head set which can give individual amplified stereo sounds to audio in life. Though the Bluetooth control scheme, customers can switch between music, movies, television (home and automobile) and computer audio with a switch of the device. Phone conversations can be taken place with the decibel attention reciever, as to those who are listening at a rather high volume can be signals when outside deicbel levels reach a set maximum.

Who is your set audience?

The audience I plan to attract in this project are the age ranges of 20-60, particularly those who are young ant heart, and have a consistent daily use of technology. Males and females are welcome. These are made for consistent amplified audio listeners. The individual could work with these in a noisy environment; like a school or industrial ground, or possibly a quiet environment, like an office.

What is their interest?

The interest in this situation is the complexity of this new admission of technology. The audience must want some type of stereo audio amplification that fits directly on the ear to shiled out other sounds, but still can be alert to outside surprise, and can sync with any audio device (via Bluetooth).

How much discretionary income do they have?

An individual shoud have at least $300 to spend on a warrantied product, these headphones will sell for $220+.

What sort or products do they buy?

Products which are associated with fitness, wellness, and home entertainment electronics. The audience also buys items online, such as music and movies. The audience also makes an attempt to keep up with the Jones's, buying cellula phones and other new cutting edge technology.

What do they do in their leisure time?

Watch television; listen to music; work on their trade such as auto/woodwork/carpentry; attends a gym; rises the bus; surfs the net; spends quality time in self-motivated focus.

What % of the population do they represent?

I'd say 60% with many people jumping on the bandwagon of what they may see as a phad, like the Atkins diet.

  1. These look pretty sleek in design, maybe you can add some color options to appeal to everyone. Or even some possibilities to customize the look per each client. Are you thinking of changing the name of the product or creating a catchy slogan?? You should, maybe you can make it more edgy, just like the Dr. Dre ones. How are you going to market to the younger crowd, flyers, posters, website?? Spreading the word is key, especially thinking of having some kind of concert or something of the like at a local college to spread the word. Good luck.

  2. This seems like a good idea, just try and think of a catchy slogan like the dre beats to appeal to the younger crowd. Maybe allowing color choices or different styles for boys and girls would increase popularity.

  3. You no longer need to pay for headphones on a plane, or worry about moving too far from your computer at work. You can easily move around your cubicle, or listen to someone elses movie. Pretty awesome. so much potential for slogans! For the desings maybe you can advertise differen colors, or a brand logo on the headphones like skull Candy does.
