Project 1 overview: I'm choosing to reposition the product lifeline which has been around for about 25 years now. I'm redesigning the product to be more of an everyday accessory that young adults who have life threatening medical conditions can wear out and still be equipped for emergencies. The product will also be targeted towards younger women who feel vulnerable being out in public alone, and don't want to fumble with a cell phone in case of emergencies.
With over 31,000 seniors lives saved in 2010 alone this product could greatly improve younger peoples lives and possibly reduce crime and death rates among young adults.
Pictured above first is my idea of a more contemporary design for the product and the second is what the product looks like now.
